What you need to work with Roundhouse

Before your first job we need the licence or certificate your trade requires, proof of liability insurance and, where WSIB coverage applies to your work, a current clearance. We check each against the issuer where we can, and check the clearance before booking and before every payment, and the insurance before every payment.

Questions

Do I need my own TSSA registration to do gas work through Roundhouse?

Yes. TSSA says that when a contractor agrees to do work and subcontracts it to another contractor, both have to meet the registration and certification requirements.

I am an independent operator with no employees. Can I get a WSIB clearance?

Independent operators outside construction may not have to register with WSIB, and a business that is not registered cannot get a clearance. Tell us when you apply and we will say what to send instead.

How long is a WSIB clearance good for?

Up to 90 days. We check it before booking and before every payment, so send the new one when it is issued.
