# HVAC work in Toronto rentals, paid in seven days

Roundhouse is adding HVAC technicians to its own trades for Toronto residential rentals. You quote, we confirm, the tenant has been told you are coming, and you are paid seven days after close out at your rate.

## Heating and cooling jobs you can quote

- **Furnaces and boilers.** Service, repairs and no heat calls in houses, semis, duplexes and walk ups.
- **Cooling.** Central air, ductless splits and heat pumps, installed and repaired. Condo fan coils and PTACs under the building's rules.
- **Seasonal and small work.** Thermostats, ducts, vents and filters, and maintenance booked building by building.

## The job arrives with the equipment

- **Make, model and a photo.** Of the equipment, on the job before you drive.
- **Access arranged.** The tenant told and the window agreed.
- **Scope locked.** A change on site is approved first, then added.

Heating and cooling failures are emergencies, with a 2 hours on site target in the GTA.

## What we ask in return

- **Gas credentials.** For gas work, TSSA contractor registration and a TSSA gas technician certificate for the equipment you work on.
- **Refrigerant credentials.** Ontario's ODP card, plus a 313A or 313D Certificate of Qualification for air conditioning and heat pump work.
- **WSIB clearance.** Where WSIB coverage applies to your work, a current clearance, checked before booking and before every payment, because without it the principal can be liable for a contractor's unpaid premiums.
- **Liability insurance and photos.** The certificate on file, and close out photos of the equipment and the work.

## Pay terms

- 7 days from close out to payment. By e-transfer or EFT, no factoring, no early pay charge.
- 0% deducted from your invoice. The rate you quoted is the rate you are paid.
- 1 customer to deal with. Access arranged, scope locked, photos before you drive.

## Questions

### What certificates do I need for HVAC work with Roundhouse?

Gas work needs a TSSA gas technician certificate for the equipment you work on, under a TSSA registered contractor. Handling refrigerant needs Ontario's ozone depletion prevention (ODP) card, and the ODP card alone does not qualify you to repair A/C equipment.

### How and when am I paid?

Seven days from close out, by e-transfer or EFT, at the rate you quoted. There is no charge for being paid on time.

### Does the tenant ever pay me?

No. Roundhouse is your customer. You invoice Roundhouse, and the tenant never pays you or changes the job on site.

### Do I get the equipment details before I drive?

Yes. The job carries the make, model and a photo of the equipment where we have them, with access arranged and the scope locked.

### Do I have to take no heat and after hours calls?

We match trades to the work and areas we have, so say on your application which calls you take. This website is not an emergency line.
