# Handyperson work in Toronto rentals, paid in seven days

Roundhouse is adding handypersons to its own trades for Toronto residential rentals. You quote, we confirm, the tenant knows you are coming, and you are paid seven days after close out at your rate.

## Small jobs you can quote

- **Doors and hardware.** Doors, locks, hinges, closers and cabinet hardware.
- **Patching and sealing.** Caulking, shelving and drywall patching.
- **Occupied or vacant units.** Booked in a window the tenant has agreed to.

## Jobs arrive with the fault photographed

- **Photos before you drive.** The fault, the address and unit, and the approved scope.
- **Tenant told.** Dust cleaned up and the room put back when you leave.
- **Scope locked.** Semis, duplexes, walk ups and condos, with the job spelled out.

## What we ask in return

- **Stay inside the scope.** Flag a job that needs a licensed plumber or electrical contractor before you start.
- **WSIB clearance.** Where the law requires coverage. Roundhouse checks it before booking and before every payment.
- **Liability insurance.** The certificate is on file.
- **Close out photos.** Before and after, taken before you leave the unit.

We only use ECRA/ESA-Licensed Electrical Contractors.

## Pay terms

- 7 days from close out to payment. By e-transfer or EFT, no factoring, no early pay charge.
- 0% deducted from your invoice. The rate you quoted is the rate you are paid.
- 1 customer to deal with. Access arranged, scope locked, photos before you drive.

No trade licence for general repairs, but you stay inside your qualifications. Flag a job that needs a licensed plumber or an electrical contractor before you start. You also need WSIB coverage where the law requires it, with a current clearance certificate on file.

### How and when am I paid?

Seven days from close out, by e-transfer or EFT, at the rate you quoted. There is no charge for being paid on time.

### Does the tenant ever pay me?

No. Roundhouse is your customer. You invoice Roundhouse, and the tenant never pays you or changes the job on site.

### Can I do the small extra job the tenant mentions?

Not on the spot. Note it and tell us. It becomes its own job once the property manager approves it.
