# Appliance delivery and installation in condo towers

In a tower, the appliance is the easy part. The building is what needs planning: the elevator, the dock, the measurements and the crew's insurance certificate.

## The building is booked before the appliance

Every tower runs its own process for a freight elevator, a loading dock window and the crew's insurance certificate. We confirm the requirements and book the window before an install date goes to the tenant.

## Measured before it is ordered

- **The opening.** Width, depth and height where the appliance goes.
- **The path.** Doorways, hallways and turns from the elevator to the kitchen.
- **The elevator car.** A fridge that clears the store's dock but not the car is a problem solved before delivery.

## The old unit leaves the same way

Haul away is part of the scope, through the same dock and elevator window as the delivery, not a separate trip through the lobby.

## What the report shows

The model and serial plate of the new appliance, photos of the finished install, and the old unit leaving through the building's own process.

## Questions

### Who books the freight elevator for a condo delivery?

We do, once management confirms the booking process and any certificate of insurance the crew has to carry. The tenant gets an install date only after the elevator window is confirmed.

### What if the new appliance does not fit?

We measure the opening, the doorway path and the elevator car before ordering, so a fit problem is caught before delivery day.

### Does the old appliance get taken away?

Yes, when it is in the approved scope, through the loading dock if the building requires it.

### What if the install finds a problem behind the old unit?

A wiring, gas line or plumbing problem comes back as a quote before the new appliance goes in.

We only use ECRA/ESA-Licensed Electrical Contractors.
